The prices of fertiliser have dropped by more than 20 per cent after the government delivered more than 100,000 bags in Eldoret, Kitale and other parts of Kenya. Some distributors are selling a 50 Kg bag of fertiliser at about Sh3,000 down from Sh3,600 last week. The government's subsidised fertiliser retails Sh 2,500 per bag. Gideon Misoi, t he CEO of the National Cereals and Produce Board said more fertiliser will be distributed to help farmers cut down on the cost of farming.
