Moi calls for more teachers

Former President Moi has urged the incoming government to do review of the education system. He said the teacher-student ratio is wanting. Moi said it is hard for teachers to instil good values in students. He said the burden placed on teachers should be lightened adding that a teacher managing 40 students will perform better than one overseeing 60 students. “Having been a teacher, it is very difficult to teach about 40, 50 students in one class but one can only manage less than 40.
