ELDORET- The National Cereals and Produce Board has distributed about 100,000 bags of subsidised fertiliser to farmers in Rift Valley region. Hundreds of farmers are still queuing at Eldoret, Kitale, Mois Bridge and Kapsabet depots for the fertiliser to enable them start planting maize. "We have been told that there is adequate fertiliser yet we have been lining up here for the last three days without getting the commodity," said farmer Paul Birgen. NCPB chief executive Gideon Misoi says more fertiliser has been moved to all parts of the country to hep farmers cut costs of farming.
