Germany has supported China in the fight against ivory trade. Last Monday, six tonnes of ivory tusks, carvings and ornaments were destroyed at Dongguan city in Guangdong Province in a move to protect wildlife and create awareness. “This symbolic act further strengthens the international coalition against wildlife poaching,” said Martin Falk, Head of Press & Cultural Affairs, German Embassy.
