Embu county will this financial year spend close to Sh160 million to pay Early Childhood Development Education teachers. The county has employed 483 new ECDE teachers. The money will also be used in the construction of modern ECDE centres in all the 20 wards. Education executive Jamleck Muturi said each ward will get two ECD centres. He said currently, there are 379 centres with a population of 14,379 children. Speaking in his office on Monday, Muturi said more plans are underway to improve exam results in the the county.
