IT is now clear that the rules stopping PSVs from travelling at night are untenable. The massive travel delays over the last five days have been economically disastrous. In 2007, presidential candidate Kalonzo Musyoka promised to make Kenya a 24 hour economy. Now the PSV ban is turning Kenya into a 12 hour economy. Well-run countries all allow travel by night but regulate bus and lorry journeys.
