Fears of a disease outbreak have hit Naivasha slaughterhouse due to an acute water shortage for the last three months. Butchery owners have threatened to withhold their rates to the county government if the situation is not addressed. They said the working conditions in the slaughterhouse are deteriorating. The traders said they are forced to buy water to wash the slaughterhouse yet they pay levy to the county government.
