Detectives are holding Mombasa Republican Council spokesman Rashid Mraja at the Lunga Lunga border, Mraja was attempting to sneak into the country from Tanzania. According to police, Mraja was arrested as he crossed into the country from Tanzania where he had gone into hiding alongside other top MRC leaders. Msambweni police boss Jack Ekakuro confirmed the Wednesday night arrest by a special police squad setup to track the leaders of the secessionist group. Police have accused MRC of being behind the killing of 14 people among them nine police officers in Mombasa county on March 4th.
