Government spokesman Muthui Kariuki has called on the police to enforce the Michuki traffic rules to reduce road carnage. Kariuki said he will personally talk to the Inspector General of Police, Francis Kimaiyo, over the matter. The spokesman was addressing the press at the scene of a grisly accident that claimed the lives of 9 people and left 4 critically injured near Makuyu centre on the Thika–Nyeri highway.
