Two elephants have been poached in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the last week. One elephant was found with it’s face hacked off and the ivory taken by poachers. The large bull elephant was found speared near the Sand River gate. Another female elephant was speared about five kilometers from the Oloolaimutia gate of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Oloolaimutia is on the eastern edge of the reserve and boundaries community settlements.
