THREE men have been charged with having ivory worth Sh2.2 million. Gibson Kariuki, James Irungu and Peter Otieno were allegedly found with 22 pieces of ivory weighing 18kg on Monday at Naivas Eastlands in Nairobi. They are also accused of trying to sell the elephant tusks. They denied the charges before Kibera principal magistrate Lucas Onyina. They asked the court to release them on bond.
