Thirteen Mombasa county workers have been suspended as the war on corruption at the authority rages. The 13 include treasurer John Ngugi and received the suspension letters on Thursday. County secretary Abdullatif Muzne told the Star yesterday those who had received the letters had not been on leave for a year. Ngugi, however, denied receiving the letter, saying only those with pending leave days have been sent home. He said he has a balance of 30 days.
