More than 80 people were arrested by the police at Kipkaren River in Uasin Gishu county for selling illicit brew commonly known as chang'aa. The officers impounded more than 2,000 litres of the brew during the raid at the brewer's houses. Kipkaren police senior sergeant Wanyama Natee said majority of the brewers nabbed were women while youth were the main customers. He said the youth were at the brewing dens as early as 6.00am.
