The Senate special committee has upheld the impeachment of the Embu Governor Martin Wambora and his deputy Dorothy Nditi. In a special sitting held yesterday, the committee reported the findings of its investigations. The senators will debate the report and could either adopt it or reject. The standing orders require 24 counties to vote for the report for it to be adopted. If the House adopts the report, Wambora and Nditi will leave office and fresh elections conducted in the next 90 days.
