MPs are planning to disband the Salaries and Remuneration Commission for breaching constitutional provisions. The process could start as soon as next Tuesday when MPs present a petition to that effect in the National Assembly. The petition, to be tabled by Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi, seeks to cripple the commission by removing from office the chairperson and 12 commissioners.
