Journalist sued over child upkeep

A university student has sued TV journalist Tom Mboya over child maintenance. Elsie Achieng, through lawyer Pauline Muhanda, is seeking an order directing Mboya to pay Sh50,000 every month for the maintenance of the child pending the hearing and determination of the case. She is also seeking an order directing Mboya to give her a copy of his ID card to facilitate getting the child’s birth certificate. Achieng is a student at Kenya Methodist University.
