Kenya Railways has slashed fares to Sh30 for a one-way ticket during off-peak hours as it targets mass commuters on the Syokimau train service. The firm has been charging Sh100 for a return ticket, peak and off-peak, translating to Sh50 one way. "The introduction of the new fares is as a result of an assessment of commuter trends and travel habits in Nairobi.
