The taxman has issued new excise duty stamps starting this month as one of the measures to curb increasing tax evasion. The Kenya Revenue Authority said Friday that counterfeit stamps have become common, costing it significant amounts in revenue loss. It has yet to quantify revenues lost annually through counterfeit stamps though.
