THE annual Lake Victoria day came to an end yesterday with call for the government to enhance lake conservation. Participants at the 14 th Lake Victoria Day said the lake was fast receding and needs urgent attention from the government to protect it from further degradation. Uhai Lake Forum who organised the celebration said the lake should have an environmental ambassador to champion for restoration of its lost glory.
