Karigithu to streamline registration of vessels

KENYA Maritime Authority director Nancy Karigithu said vessel registration in the country should be harmonised to ensure proper management of water crafts. According to a study conducted by Prestige Management Solution, a company contracted by KMA, the country has 12,172 registered vessels. 11,185 of these vessels are under the Fisheries ministry, 191 under KMA and 265 under foreign national registration bodies.
