THE government has released Sh400 million to the National Cereals and Produce Board to pay farmers who delivered their maize to the board last year. NCPB managing director Gideon Misoi yesterday said they are in the process of paying the farmers in the Rift Valley where most of the maize was delivered from. "We have already paid out Sh260 million and we are processing Sh60 million," said Misoi. He said the rest of the farmers will be paid in a few days.
