MOMBASA Republican Council appear to have softened their separatist stand as the group’s leadership yesterday called for dialogue with President Uhuru. The state under former President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga had insisted that MRC drop their secession call before any dialogue could take place. Yesterday, MRC secretary general Randu Nzai said they are willing to meet President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto to agree on an amicable way of resolving the marginalisation of Coast residents. “We are optimistic that discussions with a new government can bear fruit,” he said...
