THE National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse chairman Frank Njenga yesterday said the Needle and Syringe program will help fight HIV/Aids in the country. The government has called on Coast communities to embrace the Needle and Syringe program to reduce the spread of HIV and Aids. Last year, the government announced plans to introduce the program to stem the rising cases of new HIV infections especially at the Coast, but it was opposed by civil societies and religious leaders.
