Heavy rains kill livestock in Mai Mahiu

Scores of livestock were killed and crops worth thousand of shillings destroyed by heavy rains pounding Mai Mahiu and its environs. The livestock were swept by the raging waters which also washed away a section of the Mai Mahiu-Narok road. The rains had earlier killed three minors in Kijabe area after mudslide which destroyed a house they were sleeping in. In Mai Mahiu a farmer was left counting losses running into thousand of shillings after the late night floods.
