Kiambu governor William Kabogo has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy President William Ruto to deploy an emergency disaster management team to Kijabe Forest after a downpour swept away the railway line and trees on Friday night. Speaking during a tour of the forest, Kabogo said the downpour has caused massive landslides that have blocked the Kijabe road. The destruction has blocked patients from accessing Kijabe Mission Hospital.
