THE Kenya Wildife Service has asked residents living along Lower and Upper Imenti forests to be careful about more than 70 elephants in the forests. Speaking while confirming the death of a 43-year-old woman who was trampled by an elephant while fetching firewood in Kambakia area, KWS warden Jimna Patet said currently there are five groups of elephant each with at least 14 members in the forest. He further advised them to consider engaging the security services of KWS officers who have the skills of wading and chasing any dangerous animal that may be within the vicinity of their operation. “...
