Kenya has just completed peaceful elections that many see as a starting point to improve governance. Better governance is said to support and enhance development in the country. Let us hope this is the case, but governance reforms in Kenya and supported by donors as a way of underpinning development efforts, have so far been mainly about convincing the Kenyan elite to get the waninchi to behave better.
