Laikipia seeks to raise sh5billion budget locally

The Laikipia county government is hoping to raise Sh5 billion locally to boost the money allocated by the central government. The central government has allocated the county Sh3.3 billion in the next financial year. “The amount from the central government is not enough. We are going to improve revenue collection within the county to reach our Sh8 billion target,” said Governor Joshua Irungu.
