Two MPs from Tana River delta have called for urgent humanitarian aid for the flood victims in the area. Ibrahim Sane (Garsen) and Ali Wario (Bura) said more than 80 per cent of the residents have been displaced because River Tana burst its banks. “Thousands of our constituents in Tana River need food aid urgently. They have lost their livestock, crops and homes due to the floods,” said Sane. Wario said there was a greater threat of water and vector borne disease outbreaks.
