Second power plant adds 36MW at Olkaria III

Ormat Technologies, the private owner of Olkaria III complex in Naivasha, has announced completion of the second plant at the site with an output of 36 megawatts of electricity. The New York Stock Exchange-listed energy company has said it will add another 16MW at the geothermal complex through a third plant to be completed in 2014.“Once Plant 3 is complete, total capacity at the Olkaria III complex will reach approximately 100MW,” the company said.
