Vehicles with unsanctioned number plates should be impounded because they are a risk to national security, Transport Cabinet Secretary Engineer Michael Kamau has said. Kamau said in a statement on Thursday that driving vehicles with uncleared number plates is illegal and that motorists risk prosecution. "The display or use of any unauthorised number plates on any vehicle on a public road is an offence.
