The controversy surrounding the management of water from the multi-billion shilling Chebara dam in Elgeyo Marakwet County seems to be far from over. Elgeyo Marakwet leaders now demand that the Uasin Gishu County pays Sh10 million monthly out of the Sh100 million collected by Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (Eldowas) in Eldoret Town and its environs.
