A Foot and Mouth Disease vaccination programme has been launched in Busia county. Governor Sospeter Ojaamong said on Wednesday the campaign targets all livestock. He said the government had sponsored the vaccination to rid the county of the disease. Ojaamong was speaking at Akiriamas Primary School in Amukura West ward. "Veterinary officers should know that the time to sit in offices is gone, they have to make frequent field visits to find problems afflicting farmers," he said.
