World Marathon record holder Patrick Makau yesterday found the going tough as he was beaten to third place in the 10,000m during the Administration Police Championships at Nyayo Stadium yesterday. Peter Kirui of APTC ‘B’ won the race in a time of 29:15.0 followed by Henry Chirchir of APTC ‘A’ in 29:18.5 as Makau, running for APTC ‘B’, timed 29:31.5 for third.
