SEVERAL people have been displaced and students of a secondary school sent home after floods swept homes and the institution last Saturday evening. Yesterday, Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma, county commissioner Lorna Odero and Red Cross West Kenya regional coordinator Emanuel Owako visited Ahero Girls Secondary School and parts of Nyando that have been affected by floods. The school was closed down indefinitely after river Nyando burst its banks.
