The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been given three days to file its response to a petition challenging the nomination of former TV personality Naisula Lesuuda as senator. Lesuuda’s nomination is being challenged by Lydia Mathia, an activist who says her name was swapped by the electoral commission and replaced with that of the former journalist. The petition came up yesterday before High Court Judge Rose Ougo who directed the IEBC and Lesuuda to put in their responses before Thursday when she is expected to give direction.
