A court yesterday handed citizens the right to demand any information on any public company. The landmark decision was made yesterday by High Court Judge Mumbi Ngugi. Justice Mumbi however declined to grant a plea by Nairobi Law Monthly which was seeking confidential information about contract entered by Kenya Electricity Generating Company. She said the order for such information to be made public can only be sought by a citizen and not a company.
