A London court has sentenced a 21-year-old son of a wealthy Mombasa businessman to three years in jail. Viraj Mashru, the son of Rajendra Mashru, whose family owns one of the biggest transport companies in East Africa, was convicted for faking his own kidnap to swindle his father out of Sh85 million in ransom.
