Policeman shot dead in Mombasa

An Administration Police Officer has been shot dead following a robbery attempt at Wells Fargo Security Company at Railways area in Mombasa. Coast provincial intelligence boss Ambrose Munyasia said the officer was shot dead while another policeman was seriously injured as they tried to stop five armed gangsters who were attempting to break into the premises. Munyasia said a Wells Fargo guard was also shot dead by the gangsters during the incident that occurred at 2.45am. Police recovered a Ceska pistol with eleven rounds of ammunition at the scene.
