Lawyers representing the Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission, President - Elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have opposed the application by the Katiba Institute and Professor Yash Pal Ghai to be enjoined in the election petition as Amicus Curiae (friend of the court).
