Wangamati urges colleagues to vote for Marende as Speaker

THE chairman of the Luhya Council of Elders Patrick Wangamati yes- terday said that all MPs should vote former parlia- ment speaker Kenneth Marende back into office. Wangamati said MPs should remember Marende’s track record in Parliament. Speaking to the Star on the phone he said the choice of Speaker should not be on the basis of party affiliation but on an individual’s ability to serve the House.
