CIC Insurance Group has posted a 110 per cent rise in pretax profit for 2012 totalling Sh1.65 billion from the previous year's Sh787 million boosted by new business, it said yesterday. CIC which operates asset management, general and life insurance businesses said its venture into unit trusts and pension schemes boosted earnings for the period. It also has investments in property.
