THE International Monetary Fund will consider Kenya's request for a new credit facility in March, managing director Christine Lagarde said yesterday. Lagarde, who completed her three day visit to Kenya, said the fund's official will be in Kenya from March for article four consultations to assess the status of Kenya's economy. Kenya has requested the fund to consider an insurance type of loan to cushion against any external or internal shocks.
