Nyamira senator Kennedy Okong’o has expressed concern over inadequate supply of medicine and equipment to local health facilities. Okong’o said residents are forced to buy drugs from privately owned chemists at exorbitant prices because health institutions do not have them in their pharmacies. Speaking after he toured Nyamira District Hospital, Okong’o said the scenario must be reversed urgently.
