PRISON officers at the Kilifi GK prisons have challenged human rights organisations to consider the rights of officers. Speaking during a two-day workshop organised by Muslim for Human Rights in Kilifi on Friday, the officers accused most human rights organisations of failing to recognise their rights. “When you take prisoners to the hospital some of them become very rude and can insult you because they know human rights officer will challenge any attempt to discipline them,” said one of the officers.
