THIRTY nine families from Bukoma in Budalangi constituency, Bunyala district have been forced to vacate their homes following heavy rains. Speaking to the Star yesterday, Bukoma assistant chief Rosemary Ochieno said four villages were affected by the flood waters which she said forced them to move to higher grounds. The flood victims said the flood waters forced them to seek refuge from Bukoma Secondary School within the locality. “We do not know where to go from here now that schools have re-opened for the second term," said one of the victims.
