County police bosses must now have university degrees.This requirement has locked out most OCPDs from the post of Assistant Inspector General. The National Police Service Commission has advertised vacancies for Assistant Inspector General/County Commander for each of the 47 counties. Applicants must be graduates from a university recognised in Kenya and have served with distinction in the police service for at least 10 years.
