There is no cause for alarm following fresh disease outbreaks in the Middle East and China, the government has assured the public. Dr Ian Njeru, the head of disease surveillance and response at the Ministry of Public Health, said contingency measures against the coronavirus and bird flu are in place. According to the World Health Organization, coronavirus has killed 18 people so far.
