The Star newspaper journalist Shaban Makokha said his life is in danger after he was threatened by supporters of Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya. Makokha who is based in Mumias recorded s statement at the Mumias police station on Wednesday. In his statement, Makokha said he was accosted twice by Oparanya’s supporters for highlighting concerns by cane farmers over a decision to reside at the Mumias managerial estate.
